The Bunny with the Basket

Bunny Basket

By now everyone, unless you live under a rock, has heard of the Elf on a Shelf.  We have a love hate relationship with our elf Jewels. My daughter loves her and I, well I don’t as much. By the time Christmas comes around, Elf is out of ideas for funny ways to surprise the kiddo and I am thrilled that she will be leaving for the next 330+ days.

One thing I do love is how well the kiddo behaves, a simple “tsk tsk, what will Jewels say to Santa” and she is behaving like an angel.  I also love how much she looks forward to seeing what mischief Jewels got into, the excitement in her eyes and voice when she tells me all about Jewel’s antics of the night before is priceless.

BunnyHow can we incorporate this magic at other times of the year?  Well for Easter, look no further than The Bunny with the Basket and the Golden Egg.  This adorable set comes with a cute story of the friendship between the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause and how they share information of who is on the Naughty and Nice list.  There is a cute stuffed bunny that holds a basket with a golden egg in it.  Bunny arrives shortly before Easter.  Each night he/she will take the note your child writes to the Easter Bunny and pass on a report of how things went that day.  Your bunny then returns with a note from E.B. himself and then hides the golden egg for kiddo to find in the morning.

Then on the night before Easter, bunny returns to Easter Land to help E.B.with all of his Easter tasks.  Bunny will return again next year.

So far we have been having a ton of fun with The Bunny with the Basket, our bunny’s name is Princess and she sits on our daughter’s bookshelf.  She does not have to hide or come up with clever ways to impress, she returns to her same spot after visiting with E.B and only the egg needs to find a hiding spot.
